Paris Hilton to follow in footsteps of Conrad Hilton

Paris Hilton says she is ready to follow in the footsteps of her family and wants to open a chain of hotels.

The socialite - whose great-grandfather Conrad Hilton is the founder of Hilton Hotels - says she believes she needs a new challenge in her career, which has already seen her become a reality TV star, a singer, have her own fragrances and clothing line and appear in movies.

She is quoted by website FOXNews.com as saying: "I've pretty much done all you can do, but my next project that I'd like to do is get more involved in real estate - just from being in the business and growing up in it my whole life, it's always something I've been interested in.

"And right now that I've done everything I've wanted to do, that would definitely be the next step, to open my own hotels.

EU lifting airport ban on liquids in Hand Luggage.

Since 2006 there has been a ban on carrying liquids in your hand luggage after police in Britain discovered a terrorist plot to destroy transatlantic flights using explosives hidden in soft drink cans.

Many travellers have had their expensive perfumes, drinks and suncreams condfiscated at airports as a result of this causing much stress and frustration at the loss of their belongings.

The Eu Commission said "By 29 April 2013 at the latest, all liquids will be allowed in cabin baggage and will be screened,"

From early 2011, duty free drinks and perfumes purchased at third country airports or on board third country airlines and carried in tamper-proof bags will be allowed and will be screened.

This is great news for both the traveller and the duty free shops as we will be allowed to return to what was an enjoyable part of a journey - grabbing all the bargains duty free has to offer.

Volcano in Ireland!

How an American news channel got the information terribly wrong.

Airfares on the rise due to Volcano.

According to Travelmole Air fares are to soar in wake of ash crisis :

"Air fares are forecast to rise by more than five per cent this year in the wake of the Icelandic volcanic ash crisis and increasing oil prices.
UK travellers can expect to pay an additional £1.8 billion or £48 each on average, according to figures from the Centre for Economics and Business Research....
The study warns that fares are set to rise by 11.5% by 2012, adding £62 to the cost of an average economy flight from London to New York – from £518 to almost £580.

The rises are predicted as carriers attempt to claw back an estimated £1.3 billion in costs due to the ash cloud disruption by the end of last week.
It is believed that up to two thirds of the costs will be borne by European airlines."

We advise booking now to avoid these hefty increases. Once your flight is booked you can then plan your accommodation with our cheap hotels deals. So stop thinking and get booking!

Suitcase Theft - How easy it is to open your suitcase.

This video clip illustrates how easy it is for anyone, be it baggage handlers or thieves to break into your suitcase and steal valuables. By using a simple pen a thief can penetrate the zip on the bag regardless of locks or pad locks and access all your belongings. In a matter of seconds the thief can remove whatever they please before closing the suitcase as if nothing ever happened, leaving you bewildered as to where your valuables dissapeared to.

Our advise is to keep all valuables on your person and only put into your case what you can afford to lose.
