Volcano eruption appears to be over!

Volcano Iceland - Eyjafjallajokull Glacier
Scientists in Iceland have observed signs that the volcanic eruption from under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier which has lasted for 40 days may have come to an end.
According to a Status Report issued on Sunday evening  by the Icelandic Meteorological Office and the Institute of Earth Sciences, University of Iceland.

"The eruption seems to be dormant today," the report said.

Experts say they will continue monitoring the volcano and  if there are no new earthquakes and no new outburst, then that would suggest that it is over!
This is great news for travellers who may have been apprehensive about booking a holiday abroad. It suggests that there will be no more travel disruptions and that the flying public can feel safe about booking again.
